Who Won More Real Madrid vs Arsenal FC Stats Goals and Trophies

Got curious last night about how Real Madrid and Arsenal really stack up against each other. You see fans arguing online all the time, but I wanted actual numbers. Grabbed my laptop and just started digging.

The Starting Point

First thing I did was open a bunch of tabs to compare stats. Started with league titles. Knew Madrid had more, but seeing the numbers was wild. Scrolled through official sites and trusted football records. Typed it all out on a notepad: Real Madrid – La Liga titles: 35. Arsenal – First Division/Premier League titles: 13. That gap! Bigger than I even remembered.

Digging Deeper Into Trophies

Okay, league titles were clear. But what about everything else? Champions League popped into my head immediately. Everyone knows Madrid dominates there. Pulled up the European Cup/Champions League records:

Who Won More Real Madrid vs Arsenal FC Stats Goals and Trophies

  • Real Madrid: 14 trophies (like, nobody else is even close!)
  • Arsenal: 0 trophies (yep, they’ve never won it. Lost that one final ages ago).

Did the same for other cups:

  • Copa del Rey vs. FA Cup: Madrid’s 20 to Arsenal’s 14. Arsenal does alright here.
  • UEFA Cups/Europa League: Madrid 2, Arsenal 0.
  • Spanish Super Cups vs. Community Shields: Just kept adding to Madrid’s pile.

Counting all major trophies, the total hit me: Real Madrid sitting around 100 trophies, while Arsenal has about 50. It’s not just more, it’s double. Mind officially blown.

Goals and Meetings

Next, I wondered about actual games between them. Found they’ve played each other 8 times since the late ’90s. Most were friendlies or small tournaments, but a few competitive ones:

  • 2006 Champions League Final: Arsenal lost 2-1. Ouch.
  • Overall goals: Madrid scored way more. Around 21 goals total compared to Arsenal’s 11.
  • Wins: Madrid won 4 times, Arsenal won twice, and they drew twice.

Saw a few clips online – Madrid always looked sharper, especially in Europe.

The Reality Check

Doing this myself made it super clear. Madrid’s trophy cabinet is just on another planet compared to pretty much anyone, including Arsenal. Arsenal has history and loyalty, sure. But trophies? Stats? Goals in their head-to-heads? It’s overwhelmingly Madrid.

Sat back after closing all those tabs. Numbers don’t lie. Kinda learned something new today – the gap is even wider than people talk about.
