So today was all about trying to predict the Spurs vs Liverpool lineup for their big clash. Yeah, no crystal ball over here, just my laptop, a million open tabs, and way too much coffee. Felt like everyone was dropping hints except the managers themselves.
Where I Started
First thing this morning, after making coffee obviously, I fired up my laptop and headed straight to my usual sports spots. Checked all the socials – Klopp and the new Spurs boss were being their usual cryptic selves. Honestly, it’s like trying to crack a code sometimes. Saw loads of fans arguing over who was fit and who wasn’t.
The key thing nagging me was injuries. Everyone kept asking:
- Is Salah definitely starting after that knock?
- What about Son? Any whispers?
- Is Van Dijk back fully fit?
Went digging through reports from guys who usually get stuff right. Found conflicting stuff! One site swears Salah was training normally, another reckons he might be on the bench. Ugh. Makes you want to pull your hair out.
Putting The Puzzle Together
So, based on the last lineups they used, how they’ve been playing recently, and whatever injury gossip seemed believable:
- For Spurs, I reckon they stick with Son up top. Seems pretty nailed on.
- Maddison’s gotta be in that midfield, right? Creativity guy.
- Their defence? Honestly, who knows with their injuries lately. Just gotta make a guess.
Liverpool… tricky. Salah’s too important to bench unless he literally can’t walk. Figured he’d start. That midfield is always a headache to predict. Went with Mac Allister ‘cause he’s been solid. Van Dijk has to be back centrally. Left Robertson out though – heard he’s still not 100%, so Tsimikas maybe.
My Best Guess
After all that back-and-forth in my head and on the screen, here’s the mess I settled on:
- Spurs (like 4-2-3-1): Vicario; Porro, Romero, van de Ven, Udogie; Bissouma, Sarr; Kulusevski, Maddison, Johnson; Son.
- Liverpool (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Jones; Salah, Gakpo, Diaz.
Feel alright about it? Not really. Pretty sure the second the actual teams drop I’ll see I got at least a couple totally wrong. Maybe Endo plays instead of Jones? Maybe Jota starts up front? The managers love these surprises.
And now? Just gotta wait. Hit the publish button on the blog post with my predictions and crossed fingers. Probably end up kicking myself later tonight when the real lineup shows up! Honestly, predicting this stuff is half detective work, half wild guesswork, and mostly frustrating. But it’s the game, right? Always keeps you glued.
