So yesterday I decided to compare Girona FC and Liverpool player stats like the title says. Grabbed Firefox on my laptop first thing. Typed “premier league stats” right away into the search bar.
Clicked on some stats sites – you know the usual ones everyone mentions. Started clicking around their player sections. Looked terrible on mobile though. Kept zooming in and scrolling side to side like an idiot. My thumb got real tired fast just swiping left.
- First mission: Found Liverpool’s player list no problem. Wanted to see key attackers.
- Second mission: Tried grabbing Salah’s stats. App froze hard. Had to force quit the damn thing right there in the cafe.
- Third mission: Switched back to desktop site on the laptop. Chrome handled it better actually.
Okay now Salah’s page loaded alright. Wrote down his goals and assists manually in a notepad file. Numbers looked scary good as usual. Made a separate column for Girona’s main guy Artem Dovbyk since everyone’s talking about him now.
Spent like twenty minutes figuring out how their stat sites categorize “key passes” and “big chances created.” Confusing as hell – different sites showed different numbers. Ended up just trusting the top result even if it felt shady.
Big headache time: Needed defensive stats now. Went digging for tackles and interceptions. Liverpool players popped up quick. Virgil van Dijk’s stats looked solid like always. But hunting down Girona defenders? Nightmare mode. Searched three times before I even found Eric Garcia’s page. Thought maybe they hid him or something.
Finally copied all the messy numbers into a spreadsheet. Made some simple tables for attack and defense separately. Labeled everything real clear. Took screenshots of the final stats comparison but my lighting was trash. Edited the pictures twice on my phone to make the numbers actually readable.
Posted the whole thing with a quick comment about how much manual copy-paste crap I had to do. Stats sites should really fix their mobile apps. Ended up with separate notes for attackers and defenders like they lived in different rooms or something. Big mess honestly.
